ABOUT ME

I got married during the height of COVID-19 in April 2020. We had 20 people that consisted of just immediate family and grandparents. We Zoomed our ceremony to other family and friends so they could watch and celebrate with us.
After having infertility issues, my husband and I were blessed to have a son in 2022. Since then, I have absolutely loved being a mom. My son is a walking and talking machine who loves to read and play. He is discovering all the time and I am excited to be part of his life more as I work from home more often.

I was born and raised in two states- Utah and New Jersey. I lived in the northern part of New Jersey from the age of 7 until the age of 14 when I moved back to Utah to finish junior high and high school.
I went to Brigham Young University (BYU) in 2014 and graduated in 2019. I got a job as a Family and Consumer Science teacher in Utah County for a high school and have been teaching for 5 years now.
There are things that I miss about my area of New Jersey: the food, the culture/people, and the fall season. The color changes in the fall in New Jersey (east coast in general) are absolutely breathtaking. I am a girl who loves a good French toast bagel with a good amount of cream cheese.

I went into teaching because I wanted to make a difference in lives. Cheesy? Maybe! But it is true!
I had teachers that left an everlasting impact on my life and I wanted to do the same to others. I wanted to be the reason why students succeeded and wanted to keep coming to school.
I was awarded Utah FCS Student of the Year in 2018 when I was going to Brigham Young University (BYU) for my bachelors degree. My friends nicknamed me as Miss FCS Universe for years. I had the passion for teaching and a passion for my content. I am now in my fifth year of teaching Family and Consumer Science (FCS) classes, specifically in the culinary area at a high school level. You may have known these classes as Home Ec.; same classes, just a different name. I am currently in the process of transitioning from full time teaching to becoming a full time virtual assistant instead. It will be a big change but I am so excited to start this journey and even more excited that you are considering working with me!
As a teacher, I can transfer my teaching skills to virtual assistance to better help my clients and their individual needs and personalized end goals.

I was diagnosed with a severe gluten intolerance which changed my life drastically. I found myself missing so many foods with gluten and not enjoying gluten free versions of those foods, so much so that I decided to create recipes or try to find places that had gluten free foods that tasted delicious.
I am currently in the process of writing a gluten free cookbook that adds my culinary teaching flair to it. I add “Tips of the Dia” to each recipe and share tips of success to those recipes. If you gluten free like me, and need help finding good food, I am more than happy to share!

Ever since I was little, I LOVED boy bands- NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Jonas Brothers, and One Direction.
I knew every song by heart and would take pride in how I could guess each song within 10 notes or less.
Now I will still listen to my boy bands but I also have branched out and listen to all sorts of genres of music. With a toddler at home, we listen to a lot of Disney classics and upbeat happy songs from Ben Rector. I also love a good acoustic song by The Paper Kites or Hollow Coves.
I fully believe that music can tell a lot about someone and music can change a whole mood of a situation.
